Dear Blog, I’m Sorry To Have Neglected You! Where Do I Begin?

Dear Blog,

It’s me! I’m so sorry to not have visited you sooner than today. A lot has happened since the last time I saw you. Where do I begin?

I know that after my last blog I said that I would blog more, but that was back in 2018. Let me just say, time flies by quickly, and sometimes I do not know if I am going forwards or backwards.

Let me catch up on some things mentioned in my last blog:

I ran that 1st Marathon. It was amazing! The Marine Corps Marathon was a lot of fun. There were lots of amazing people supporting us every step of the way. I found energy to fun almost 18 miles straight. I thought that I needed to run/walk, but my body wanted to keep running. My oldest brother, Henry, came out to the race and met me at the finish line. I was so happy to see him there. That race was in October of 2018. In December of the same year, I ran the BMW Dallas Marathon with a group of friends. We had so much fun and got it done. March of 2019 was the Arlington Marathon. That race was an adventure in itself. Then in October of 2019 I ran the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. So many memories were made that trip and during the race. Chicago really does know how to bring out the cheerleaders. While I have done 4 marathons, I am not sure if I will run another one or not. I’m still on the fence about that.

My kiddos both started new schools this year. My oldest started high school, and my youngest started middle school. While it took them some time to adjust to the new schedules, they have both done pretty darn amazing this school year. My oldest daughter is in J V Choir. Last week they scored all 1’s at UIL and won Sweepstakes! She really does have some pipes on her. My youngest daughter is still playing soccer. Her goal in life is to be on the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team! Not a bad goal to have, right?

I’m still working as an Administrative Director in the medical field for Resilient Healthcare. Resilient Healthcare has some pretty amazing programs. I do love what the company stands for. The company has helped so many patients in the local area, as well as in some rural areas of Texas. During COVID, Resilient Healthcare was actively involved in the testing of individuals in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The testing was done at the patient’s homes, and there was also an option to get tested at the mobile location. I will blog about that adventure in another blog.

Last year I took on a Race Directing Role for a local race company, Get Racing. I love being heavily involved in the running and racing community. This role has given me the opportunity to meet and network with so many individuals and businesses. I love what I do in this role!

Well, I’m going to wrap up this blog entry. I do have other things that have happened since my last blog, but I am going to make separate blog posts about some of those things, as I feel they deserve their own attention instead of being a part of this entry.
